[wine] 日本語入力の位置設定

~/.wine/user.reg の "HKEY_CURRENT_USER¥Software¥Wine¥X11 Driver" にある "InputStyle"=" ... "を編集。

" ... " のオプションは３種類あって、

• Off the Spot - 候補を下端に表示
• Over the Spot - 入力場所付近に候補を表示
• Root - 入力候補を独立して表示

ただし、記入するときはスペースを空けずに。

[iso files] mounting iso files

isoファイルのマウントは特別なソフトは要らない。

ex.)
sudo mount -t iso9660 -o loop hoge.iso /mnt/dvd

[grub] カスタマイズ部分を守る

menu.lstの defOptions に記入（コメント状態は維持？）
sudo update-grub した時に自動的にこれが書き込まれる

# defoptions=quiet splash

例えばコンソールの解像度を変える場合は

# defoptions=quiet splash vga=791 resume=/dev/sda6

[vmware] "_" が入力できない

vmware player 上の windows にはところどころキー入力できない文字が存在する。そん時は「~/.vmware/preferences」を編集すればよい。

"_" = アンダーバーの場合は「xkeymap.keycode.211 = 0x073」と書き加える。取り敢えずこれで成功した。

To solve the problem on a Japanese keyboard put the following two lines in your ~/.vmware/config file:

xkeymap.usekeycodeMapIfXFree86 = true
xkeymap.keycode.211 = 0x073

書き換える対象のファイルが違うし、計２行書き加えなきゃいけない。Server と Player ではいろいろ違うのかも。
